Bungalow renovation with large rear extension and property renovation
DW Architects Site Feasibility Study Vavasour Square. House extensions and refurbishment of an existing bungalow in South Dublin, to introduce a second floor to the rear of the bungalow and maximize the building footprint and take advantage of the south facing gardens to maximize the amount of light penetrating all areas of the house.
The client was keen to incorporate sustainable design ideas into the project which included provision of solar panels, a heat pump and an thermal upgrade of the entire house with new insulation throughout. The inclusion of hidden doors to the first floor study and balcony overlooking Aviva Stadium were a particularly delightful detail complimenting the new modern design style of the house.
